U.S. Senator Roger Marshall (KS)
Doc Marshall is a physician, devoted father, grandfather, and U.S. Senator for Kansas. As a 5th-generation farm kid growing up in Butler County, Doc Marshall became the first in his family to attend college. After graduating from Butler County Community College, he received his Bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University and his Medical Doctorate from the University of Kansas.

U.S. Representative Brad Finstad (MN)
Brad is a fourth-generation farmer and resident of the New Ulm area. He and his wife, Jackie, met on the school bus in second grade and they are now the proud parents of seven children. A graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in Agriculture Education and an emphasis in Rural Leadership Development, Brad and Jackie now operate an agriculture business in New Ulm while working alongside extended family to run their generational family farm. Congressman Brad Finstad was elected to Congress in a special election on August 9, 2022 to represent Minnesota’s First District.

U.S. Representative Mark Messmer (IN)
A devoted husband, father, and lifelong Hoosier, Mark Messmer has spent his life putting faith, family, and community first. Mark and his wife Kim have been married for 39 years and have raised four children together. As small business owners, Mark and Kim understand firsthand how reducing government overreach fosters job creation and strengthens local economies. Before serving in Congress, Mark demonstrated strong leadership in the Indiana Statehouse, advancing policies that spurred economic growth and created jobs for Hoosiers. He also fought to protect individual liberties and fight against government overreach.

Kelly Loeffler
Kelly Loeffler, the 28th Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration, is an entrepreneur, executive, philanthropist, and former U.S. Senator from Georgia who has dedicated her three-decade career to growing businesses and advancing economic opportunity for all. Loeffler grew up in rural Illinois working on her family’s farm, attending public school, and waitressing - becoming the first in her family to graduate college. She built a 25-year career in financial services and technology, including as SVP of Investor Relations, Chief Communications Officer, and Chief Marketing Officer at Intercontinental Exchange (NYSE:ICE). As a member of the executive leadership team at ICE, Loeffler contributed to more than a dozen transactions including the company’s acquisition of the NYSE - helping grow the business from a small startup with less than 100 employees to a Fortune 500 company.

Jim Ellis
As creator of the Ellis Insight publication and Senior Political Analyst for the Business-Industry Political Action Committee (BIPAC), Jim Ellis analyzes electoral politics and reports upon trends, characteristics, and tendencies in American elections for political action committees, associations, and legislative advocacy firms.
He formerly provided political consulting services to the House Republican majority through 2006, has run two national political action committees, and managed successful political campaigns.
Jim speaks around the country on electoral politics, previously appeared as a debate participant on the CBS affiliate in Washington, DC’s morning news program, and is a regular on the Sunday Morning Newsmakers with Larry Marino radio show on KRLA in Los Angeles, a columnist for the Daily Caller news site, and has been interviewed on many national and local radio programs.
Jim Ellis was born and raised in Sacramento, California. He earned a B. A. in Political Science from the University of California at Davis in 1979. Jim raised his daughter, Jacqueline, alone after his wife died following a tragic car accident. He helped establish the Joan Ellis Victims Assistance Network in Rochester, NH. He is a retired member of the Northern Virginia Football Officials Association, which calls high school games throughout the local region.

Adam Temple
NFIB Senior Vice President, Advocacy
Adam Temple is Senior Vice President, Advocacy for NFIB. In this role, Adam oversees the organization's media relations, marketing, digital and online communications. Adam came to NFIB from JDA Frontline, a full-service public affairs firm. He previously served on the presidential campaign of U.S. Sen. John McCain and as the press secretary to U.S. Sen. Jim De Mint. He started his career at the National Republican Congressional Committee.

Josh McLeod
NFIB Director, Federal Government Relations
Josh joined the NFIB federal lobbying team in December 2022.
Josh joins NFIB with over 12 years of experience in government and government affairs. He most recently served as Senior Policy Advisor for U.S. Senator Ron Johnson.
Josh began his career with Senator Johnson in 2011. He later served as Senior Professional Staff Member for Chairman Johnson on the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
Josh was born in Wisconsin but grew up in Pennsylvania. He attained a bachelor's degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice from Widener University in Chester, PA. Josh lives in Virginia with his wife, Andrea and their three children.

Elizabeth Parks
NFIB Vice President, Grassroots
Elizabeth Parks serves as Vice President of Grassroots at NFIB, where she leads a nationwide team of Grassroots Managers and oversees national grassroots engagement efforts to strengthen NFIB’s network of small business advocates across the country. She also led NFIB’s campaign to make the 20% Small Business Tax Deduction permanent.
Elizabeth began her career in policy, communications, and campaigns more than a decade ago. She previously served as Deputy Chief of Staff to U.S. Representative Trent Kelly (MS-01) and as Communications Director to U.S. Representative Alan Nunnelee (MS-01).
Raised in south Alabama, Elizabeth developed an early appreciation for entrepreneurship growing up in a family of small business owners.
Elizabeth and her husband, Chris, stay active raising their three children.

Holly Wade
Executive Director, NFIB Research Center
Holly Wade is the executive director of the NFIB Research Center, where she has over 20 years of experience conducting original research on the small business sector focusing on small business economic conditions, business operations, and public policy issues impacting small firms. She produces NFIB’s monthly Small Business Economic Trends publication and other surveys on topics related to small business operations.
She is also a frequent media spokesperson on the small business economy and related public policy issues. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Global Interdependence Center (GIC), and a former board member of the National Association for Business Economics (NABE), where she is the current co-chair of the Small Business Roundtable.
