Beneficial Ownership Reporting
The new law, beneficial ownership reporting, requires small business owners with 20 or fewer employees to register personal information in a federal database through the U.S. Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) or face civil or criminal penalties.
